Three weeks ago we moved into our new home at Allmende, a multi-generational, ecological and social housing cooperative and community.

Allmende is an old German word that means “common land”, something that belongs to everyone.

Over the last years our group of ~70 people (around 50 adults plus kids) collectively financed, planned and built our new house in Gundelfingen, close to the city of Freiburg in southern Germany.

Now that we finally moved in, our next task is to fill our new home with life.

Under the hashtag #home, I'll try to document this process a bit and tell you more about what our community is all about.
